Excellent food and service - easy 5 star. Good portion sizes, timely delivery/readiness of food, and most reasonably priced Indian food on or near the main line. Very close to Havertown and Southwest region of Lower Merion. A family favorite - truly great food and people. Does not have dining-in as option.

By far the best Indian food in the area. Fair prices and very fair portions. Really sweet people who greet me every time I walk in. This is the most common stop in our takeout rotation. I would be so sad if they ever closed their doors, it’s the best!
These guys have some of the best chicken tikka I've ever had. The tikka was perfect, with just a little bit of spice I think next time i'll ask for indian spicy. The portions are super generous, I was really surprised how much chicken was in my order. The garlic naan was great too. Looking forward to trying something else soon, this place is a winner.
Great food, I drove 3.5 hrs and went straight to eat Biriany! Very fulfilling generous quantity. They serve halal desi food, and spice level is perfect with medium. Plenty of seating and parking space in front of the store. I like their simple service. Everything I need was available, I wish they were close to our home. Strongly recommended their goat biriany
1st Indian Kitchen is, hands down, the best Indian food I’ve had in Philly - maybe all of the US. Highlights are garlic naan, paneer makhani, lamb curry, and mango lassi. I couldn’t recommend this great delivery/take-out spot enough. Even ignoring its incredible value (think a curry/main that serves 2 and comes with rice for 14-18), the flavor is incredible. If you haven’t already, go here now!
I went here for the first time to get mango lassie and I asked the employee to not make it too sweet and she gave me a free sample I think I’ll come again
